• Read this book for my advertising class and I have to say as a text book in a class was so easy to get through. The language was easy to understand they used a lot of relatable examples and even quoted from the famous series Mad Men (that takes about adverting in the 60's). Great Book! I still have it and refer to it often!!

• Being a creative personality makes reading textbooks excrutiatingly boring for me. The great this about this book is that it never made me feel that way! Maybe it's because of it's creative layout, excessive pictures, and interesting subject matter but I have no trouble reading this book at all. Definitely recommend it for anyone who plans on going into this field because it's extremely comprehensive and not at all boring like most text books!
• This turned out to be a very usefull book. At the end of each semester I would always sell my books but this is the only one I kept because it has some very relateable and useful content.

• I used this for class. I like the way it gets right to the point with its subject matter. No in depth analysis about how advertising or design came to be, just bulleted facts of what you should know or learn. Its a great resource tool review to give you that extra kick to get you out of your funk and back into creating. The companion website is defunct though, I think it would have provide more insight if you wanted to dig deeper into a particular topic. Overall, a good book to add to my library.

• I have used Insight Guides for more than 10 years. They are uniformly excellent, and the new Jordan book is one of their best. The pictures are fabulous and the narrative is comprehensive. The fold-over covers give it a classy feel.
• As a long time travel professional, Insight Guides are consistently superior to other travel guide books. Let me clarify their strengths. Photographically, they are the National Geographic of destination travel guides. Exceptional photos! Editorially, they acquaint you with local contributing writers who are experts in the areas of history, culture, cuisine, art, etc. You get a real feel for the local people you will meet and interact with in any country in which they publish. You will learn amazing details not profiled in other publications. Their weakness (if this is the information you are looking for) is that they do not do in-depth coverage of accommodations and dining in each destination at budget prices. Their guide books are more experiential in nature and have been my favorite for decades! Enjoy!
• The Insight Guide for Jordan is very "insightful" and informative on areas of Jordan we plan to visit during an upcoming trip. The book is choke full of brilliant pictures and detailed descriptions of the land, the people and the sites to see. Looking forward to experiencing the area myself.
• Went to Jordan and kept reading at the stores. Finally bought when we returned home. Excellent information and always brings up memories of our travel as we read.

• beginner to crewel work. this book contains 12 basic crewel stitches and a few practice pieces to work.
• If you're looking for a getting-started guide for hand embroidery, this is a great book. It introduces 3-4 stitches, then gives a project to practice. There are also a couple projects at the end, if you like the floral style. Many of the stitches have great pictures of example work, to show how the stitches can be used to generate texture.

• one of the best books ever about doing fun things at weddings. I am a wedding photographer, and i tell all my brides about this book. tons of ideas that you may not always know about depending on where you live. I on the coast so i do sand ceremonies all the time. But this book gives a ton of ideas to do instead of that. great ideas for wedding where they are not dancing, how to get them on the dance floor. if the crowd does not dance maybe something to do for them other than just playing music for 4 hours. It really is a great book for brides grooms and djs, but as a wedding photographer. i still get tons of use of out of it.
• At the recommendation of a friend, I purchased this book a few years ago. I am a Wedding Planner and my husband is a Disc Jockey. We both loved the book so much that we are now sending it to our clients so they will have some great ideas to make their wedding both fun and memorable.
  
  The book is easy to read and has a myriad of suggestions to help you make your wedding a day that everyone will remember! Peter Merry adds some humor to the book to keep your attention. His ideas are practical and most don't cost anything to do but really add a personal touch to your wedding day that can't be duplicated. We have had the opportunity to meet Peter Merry in person and listen to him speak twice. He is a down to earth guy who really knows the wedding industry.

• Our DJ recommended this book to help us collaborate and design the perfect reception. It was incredibly helpful, had a lot of great ideas, and it was well worth the money! A lot of people overlook the importance of a well-running and engaging wedding reception.
